NFT Stickers: Digital Collectibles in Web3

Stickers.fun

By welook

Evolution of POAPs into a digital collectible system designed for ownership, trading, and brand collaborations.

The product enabled limited editions, monetization, and scalable distribution of on-chain stickers. I led the end-to-end product design and contributed to the concept from day one.

The challenge

The existing POAP system in Welook was constrained to in-person, peer-to-peer distribution, with no monetization layer or scalable engagement mechanics.

Brands lacked a frictionless Web3 channel to activate and retain users through digital ownership.

Creators were unable to monetize or distribute collectibles at scale within the ecosystem, limiting growth and retention potential.

How digital stickers work

How it works

01 Stickers Protocol: a digital collectibles protocol on Polygon where brands, artists, and users can create, sell, and collect NFT stickers with limited editions.

02 Generational system: each collection launches with 100 units (Gen 1). Subsequent generations double in supply and are airdropped to previous holders, incentivizing early adoption and long-term retention.

03 Auctions & marketplace: ascending auction mechanism for primary sales, combined with a secondary marketplace enabling peer-to-peer trading between collectors.

04 Brand collaborations: stickers tied to real-world benefits. Fernet Branca offered physical products to holders, while Argentine rap artists launched exclusive collectible drops.

Role & process

I was actively involved in shaping the product from the ground up, collaborating with the CEO on ideation, market research, and business model definition.

I researched the NFT collectibles ecosystem, including marketplaces and Web3 community dynamics, to inform product decisions.

I designed the full UI/UX of the platform, covering exploration, auctions, collector profiles, and the marketplace experience.

I defined the onboarding experience for non-crypto users, enabling email-based login with automatic wallet creation to reduce friction.
